- Learning the basic salsa step and weight transfer.
Part 2: Partner Connection and Leading / Following
- Developing a strong connection with your partner.
- Understanding the roles of leader and follower in salsa.
- Learning basic leading and following techniques.
- Practicing partner connection exercises.
Part 3: Basic Turns and Spins
- Introduction to basic turns and spins in salsa.
- Learning the right technique for executing turns.
- Practicing turns with a partner.
- Incorporating turns into basic salsa patterns.
Part 4: Cross Body Lead and Open Break
- Introduction to the cross body lead and open break.
- Understanding the timing and footwork for these moves.
- Practicing cross body lead and open break variations.
- Incorporating cross body lead and open break into partner work.
Part 5: Footwork and Shines
- Introduction to salsa footwork patterns.
- Learning basic shines (solo footwork).
- Practicing footwork and shines individually and with a partner.
- Incorporating footwork and shines into partner work.
Part 6: Styling and Musicality
- Adding styling and body movement to your salsa dancing.
- Understanding the importance of musicality in salsa.
- Practicing different styling techniques.
- Incorporating styling and musicality into partner work.
